Linkwater School is a busy school, and every week students are offered diverse and rich learning experiences inside the classroom and outside as well as on and off the school grounds.
Kiwi Can
The Graeme Dingle Foundation run this values based programme. Kiwi can facilitators take the students through a variety of fun exercises that reinforce the school values.
Enviroschool
We are a Beyond Green-Gold Enviroschool.
Kids Edible Garden
The Kids Edible Garden Programme (KEGs) runs weekly on Wednesday afternoons when a facilitator comes in to work with the students in the garden. The programme is supported by Marlborough District Council. Check out our Blog!
Kapa haka
The whole school participates in a kapa haka programme.
Technology - Year 7 & 8
On selected Monday's throughout the year, the Year 7 & 8 students travel to the Marlborough Technology Centre, based at Bohally School, for practical aspects of the Technology curriculum.
The centre has the facilities to teach all areas of the curriculum: Materials Technology, (textiles, wood, metal, and plastics), Biotechnology, Food Technology, Electronics and Control, Digital Technology, Structures and Mechanisms and Production and Process Technology. Design & Graphics are an integral part of all areas.
